Viale Trento 1260 and Sant'Elena, Venice, Italy

The 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia – titled In Minor Keys by Koyo Kouoh – runs from Saturday 9 May to Sunday 22 November 2026 at the Giardini and Arsenale venues, in various locations across Venice and at Forte Marghera.

With the full support of Koyo Kouoh’s family, La Biennale di Venezia decided to carry out her Exhibition. It will do so by following the project just as she conceived and defined it, with the purpose of preserving, enhancing and disseminating her ideas and the work she pursued.

From 9 May to 22 November 2026.
Closed on Mondays, except on 11 May, 1 June, 7 September, 16 November.

Summer hours (from 9 May to 27 September):
Giardini: 11 am – 7 pm (last admission 6:45 pm)
Arsenale: 11 am – 7 pm (last admission 6:45 pm); on Fridays and Saturdays, opening hours extended to 8 pm (last admission 7:45 pm)

Autumn hours (from 29 September to 22 November):
Giardini and Arsenale: 10 am – 6 pm (last admission 5:45 pm)

Typically, the exhibition is more crowded on weekends, while weekdays are recommended for those who prefer a calmer visit; the best time to plan your visit is from May to September, where you can enjoy the quiet of the summer months as well as benefit from the extended opening hours on Fridays and Saturdays at the Arsenale venue (see opening hours).

Additionally, from June to September, Biennale also hosts the Dance, Theatre, and the Venice International Film Festival, offering a great opportunity to combine your exhibition visit with other events.
