Do you enjoy found object sculpture? Or a vintage technique called reverse oil painting on glass?Then you will enjoy the work of Fay Wood, a sculptor/painter living in the Hudson Valley of New York State. Wood has been working in these techniques for many years and has developed her own unique look and techniques in these mediums, as well as drawing, Tapestry, and her latest; collage.
Wood has an extensive exhibition history in the USA and Europe, and her work is in many private & corporate collections. Her work has been selected for “Time, Space, Existence” hosted by the European Cultural Centre in conjunction with the 2018 Architectural Biennale held in Venice,Italy and the 2019 Florence (Italy) Biennale. She will be interviewed by Burt Wolf – for a program about art on Artrepreneur, a website devoted to assisting artists – to be aired in February, 2019 on PBS. For the last 4 years, Wood has had a studio in the charming village of Saugerties, N.Y. and welcomes visitors each weekend until January !st, and by appointment any time.
