Sophia Marler is a 31-year-old wildlife photographer from Glastonbury, CT. Her favorite subjects to capture are birds of prey, but she has experience capturing critters of all kinds. She first discovered her love for photography during the pandemic when she bought her first real camera and spent even more time than usual hiking in the woods with her golden retriever. Her work has been displayed in the Manchester town hall, at Glastonbury Arts’ gallery, on the University of Saint Joseph campus (where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology), and at the Welles Turner Memorial Library and the On the Green Show, both in Glastonbury. Her work has been selected as a finalist in the Fairfield Museum’s juried photography show in both 2023 and 2026. Sophia’s photography is currently exhibited at Spectrum Gallery in Centerbrook, Connecticut.
