Robert creates his art on canvas and wood, but his greatest passion is to paint on metal. “I love to paint on hand ground and sanded metal with transparent paints. Something enticing and magical happens when light kisses the painting and reflects from the manipulated metal. Light just radiates through the colors.” Robert also incorporates the use of gloss finishes as the luster adds even more depth to his paintings. The pure clear finish provides an unimpeded path for light to travel and fully ignite colors.
