Glass Paintings
Presented by Fay Wood Studio/Gallery
Beautiful Color Reverse painting in oils results in vibrant color, and ,used as abstractions, lends itself to lovely patterns and a variety of expressive brush strokes. Lively Look Adding one or more of these lively paintings to a room gives a wonderful spot of color and finish. And they can be collectible! Ancient technique These oil paintings on glass are not only beautiful, they have an ancient history behind them. The technique is over 2000 years old; it was revived in the 1900's to decorate mirrors and to make small Victorian scenes of great appeal - I learned the method for painting in reverse on glass in my mother's studio, where she repaired antique mirrors and paintings; I carried the method further in my gallery using abstract art as a subject. They are joyful works.
