After raising a family and pursuing a career in the field of Physical Therapy I returned to a formal study of art in 2000. There I was challenged on many levels by sensitive yet demanding professors as I studied design and theory, drawing and painting. They opened my eyes to the outside world and I looked deep into my heart. I learned even more about self-discipline and tenacity as I found my artistic voice. My art is about possibility and paradox, memories and emotion. I am excited by color and shape, by irony and mystery and by all of the questions that arise from conception to incubation and to completion of a piece. My work is a time line, storytelling where I’ve been and where I am now, connecting me with the collective art spirit of the past and of tomorrow.
