Tivoli Artists Gallery is pleased to announce “WORKS ON PAPER”, opening on Friday,
February 27th, 2015, on view through Sunday, March 22nd. 17 Hudson Valley artists offer a unique look at paper as artistic concept while also exploring more traditional approaches to paper as a medium. Art exhibited includes, yet is not limited to: photography, painting, printmaking, and sculptural creations.
The public is invited to attend our celebration and meet the artists at our opening reception on
Saturday evening, February 28th, from 6-8 pm.

Members exhibiting are: Julia Aneshansley, Frana Baruch, Diane Bauer, Dot Chast,
Denise Chandler, Marie Cole, Roxie Johnson, Anita Kiewra, Gregory Martin, Sue Martin,
Susan Picard, Alan Reich, Gilbert Rios, Joan Schwatrzman, Silvana Tagliaferri, Karl Volk,
and Marsha Walton.

Nestled in the tiny eclectic town of Tivoli, NY, TAG is a community-based organization
dedicated to the artistic growth of 30+ Hudson Valley artists. TAG is where:
-Silvana Tagliaferri’s lifelong fascination with horses comes full circle, inspiring her “to
capture the beauty, strength and grace that is inherent in this most elegant and majestic
creature.”
-Watercolors by Susan Picard express the strong collaboration she feels with the
medium. “Some control is relinquished–there is a partnership with the paint and
water.”
-As a photographer, Gilbert Rios “directs his contemplative eye toward paper itself,
and its various properties”.
-Gregory Martin entices you to stand six inches from his prints and “feel like they were
standing next to him when he took the photograph.”
-A selection of solar plate etchings, by artist Roxie Johnson, engage the viewer in
metaphysical imagery…a world that embodies a history of decay and renewal.

Come visit us.
Gallery hours are: Fri 5-9, Sat 1-9, and Sun 1-5, and by appointment.
