A gypsy’s ribbon, a lonely journey, a means of escape, an adventure into the future; the road ahead can be many things, depending on what is in your heart and how well you have honed your “street smarts.” All are invited to celebrate the journey at the opening of April’s show, Street Smarts – Observations from the Road, Friday April 3 from 5-8 PM. Featured artist Gale Loch paints the path of her journey with paper and Ink in delicate Oriental Brush paintings depicting nature. Dan Marantz explores with tools and a lathe, transforming wood into functional and sculptural works of art. And in the Back Room Art Gallery, ‘April Flowers and Showers,” art from program participants at the Frank Olean Center. Opening Sunday April 12, 2-4 PM.
