Founded in Friendship: The Legacy of the Reverend Andrew J. Kelly (March 23-June 10) celebrates the inaugural gift of art to Saint Joseph College and re-examines the founding collection and its influence on the subsequent growth and character of the collection. It reveals how Reverend Andrew J. Kelly’s personal relationships with artists and with fellow art collector Reverend John J. Kelley led to the formation of a distinguished and distinctive collection with particular strength in American art of the 20th century. The exhibition is free and open to the public and will run through June 10. There will open on Thursday, March 22 with a members’ preview and gallery talk at 5:30 and an opening reception from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
