1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair will showcase the diversity of contemporary African art and cultural production on an international stage. Having established itself in London at the forefront of the contemporary African art market, the fair will make its New York debut with an expert selection of participating galleries that will display a wide range of works by established and celebrated artists from Africa, as well as a fast-growing number of promising and emerging talent from the continent. 1:54 NY’s selection spans several generations and diverse mediums, including painting, sculpture, photography and installation. In total, the fair will showcase 15 select galleries hailing from global territories such as South Africa, Nigeria, Morocco, France, Belgium, Italy, Germany, the UK and the USA that will display the work of over 60 artists.
