The workshop will run on October 15th and 16th
from 9am-12pm and 1pm- 4pm.

The focus of the workshop is to help each participant understand key elements of hue, value, and temperature. The artist will learn how to make colors stronger and more saturated, pushing values for more dramatic impact and to control the temperature of the painting for the overall effect that is has on the interpretation of the painting. You will learn how to take a painting from “OK” to “GREAT”.

Ted Matz is currently the Chair of Painting and Drawing at the Lighthouse Art Center Museum and School of Art in Tequesta, Florida where he teaches watercolor, oil and acrylic painting. He majored in Watercolor at the Eastern Michigan University and also studied at Kendall College of Art and Design.
