July 2016 (Chicago) Morpho Gallery is pleased to announce a solo exhibition from David Cook. The exhibit will run from July 9th to July 30th. Opening night for the show is July 9th, 6-10pm.

About David Cook: “I’m mostly a “pop up” artist. I make art wherever I can, out of whatever I find. If I don’t have materials, I scavenge for them. I have been called a decorator crab, searching for materials wherever I go. You could say the world is my canvas. I have no perimeters.” Born in 1964, David W. Cook grew up in Minnetonka, Minnesota. As a small child, David Cook had the innate ability to see the world as a blank canvas that needed to be interpreted through the mediums of pencils, paint, and clay. David has the uncanny ability to see the world in both black and white and techno-color. With his mind, his soul, and his hands, he paints, sculpts, and interprets his world by isolating the very emotions we all experience: fear, pain, hate, courage, love, and self-discovery. He finds beauty in what people call ‘rusted-out’ junk, and rust in what people consider beauty. This is why people are moved, excited, and challenged by the works of David W. Cook.
