29th Annual Rustic Furniture Fair

Saturday and Sunday, September 10 -11
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Included in general museum admission

Visit the museum during this festival weekend and you’ll see unique interpretations of classic and contemporary rustic art presented in handcrafted furniture, furnishings, and Adirondack paintings.

Are you looking for the perfect piece of furniture for your home or camp? Look no further! Renowned artisans from all over the United States will showcase and sell their one-of-a-kind creations during the event, discuss custom-made pieces, and answer your questions about their work.

As you stroll the grounds amidst spectacularly fiery fall foliage, watch demonstrations by artisans at work, enjoy live musical performances, and explore all the museum galleries, including Bull Cottage, home to some of the museum’s renowned collection of rustic furniture and furnishings.

If you would like to sign up for the museum’s “Rustic Furniture Fair Bulletin,” please send your e-mail or postal address to [email protected] and be the first to receive periodic information through the year about 2016 show updates; lodging, restaurant, and other deals; news about the rustic artisans; stories from the museum’s rustic collection; and more.

Rustic makers, artisans, and artists (listed below) will be showing their work in tents throughout the museum grounds. Items are available for all levels, from beginning collectors to serious rustic connoisseurs. Shipping services are available from the event, thanks to our friends at the Lake Placid UPS Store.

The museum’s Lake View Café will be open during the event.

Several public programs will be available on the museum’s campus throughout the event, including staff-led tours, audio guides, and numerous children’s activities.

All museum exhibitions will be open.
