The University of Utah, Museum of Fine Arts presents Bierstadt to Warhol: American Indians in the West. The exhibition will include 100 oil paintings, sculpture and works on paper drawn from from the Stewart collection.

The different Stewart works depict the identity of the American Indian as both natives and non-natives, in a variety of painting and drawing concepts; from the traditional European schools to Modernist abstraction. The show will explore the Pueblo people of Taos and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Other important and strong portraits of American Indians will be presented for the viewer to study as well.
