A free public Meet-the-Artist reception will be held at The Butler Institute of American Art Trumbull Branch from 1-3 pm January 20, 2019 for the exhibition Alfred Leslie: Pixel Scores. Admission and parking are free.

Alfred Leslie’s personal history and artistic milestones place him at the very pinnacle of American artistic success. From his innovative abstractions of the fifties and sixties to his unique and celebrated brand of narrative painting that would follow, Leslie takes his rightful place among the greatest artists of his generation. And while his figurative oil paintings have long defined his remarkable career, he now raises the bar with an exciting series of digital works, his “Pixel Scores”. These works vibrate with intensity and seem a logical extension of the figurative works associated with his long career.
