Each spring, the Burr Homestead transforms from an historic home to an exquisite art gallery as the Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County (JLEFC) hosts its annual Art Show. With the help of our sponsors, the 22nd Annual Art Show takes place Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6, 2014. As the JLEFC’s primary fundraiser, all proceeds from the sales support the JLEFC and its “Healthy Families, Healthy Futures” community programs.

Over 100 artists from Connecticut and the Northeast region showcase their work, including traditional representational paintings, contemporary abstract works, photographs, prints and drawings. Portrait artists will be on hand Saturday and Sunday – create a personal piece of art to take home.

Embodying “Beautify Your Home, Better Our Community,” the Art Show also features art-inspired mantel decorations provided by local floral and interior designers and home décor stores to dress up the Burr.

The Art Show is traditionally kicked off Friday night with a festive cocktail party. Attendees mix and mingle while enjoying delicious food and drink, purchasing art and bidding on silent/live auction items.
