Wethersfield Academy for the Arts
Sep. 6, 2018, 10:00 am
6 Week Class
Begins September 6th; 10:00 am – 1:00 pm
Instructor: Eliza Moser
Each week, we will take a short trip to the Wadsworth Atheneum, the oldest continuously operating Art Museum in the country, to a great hall surrounded by masterpieces. Learn to draw, in a defined process, the classical marble sculpture, Eve Repentent. Using Atelier methods from Florence, Italy, the static 3-D human form will be examined in structure, light effects, shapes, to create realistic drawings. Introductions to anatomy and figure-drawing concepts will also be taught. A portable easel is needed. The museum provides comfortable folding stools.
