The Day of the Dead / Día de Los Muertos is an exhibition celebrating life while honoring the memories, stories, and legacies of loved ones who have passed. Rooted in traditions of remembrance, Día de los Muertos offers a space to reflect on the enduring connections between generations, family, culture, and community.

This call for artwork invites artists to explore themes connected to collective healing and resilience, Indigenous roots and cultural traditions, remembrance and celebration, family and ancestry, identity, and community. Through a variety of artistic interpretations, the exhibition seeks to honor the many ways we remember those who came before us while celebrating the life, love, and stories that continue to connect us.

Accepting all media and artists 18 years and older.

Deadline: Sunday, Sept. 20th
Drop off artwork: Monday, Sept. 28th
Opening Reception: Friday, Oct. 2nd
Exhibition Dates: Oct. 2nd -Oct. 31st

Eligibility
Group Exhibition: Day of the Dead-is open to anyone older than 18 years of age.
All Media
All work must be ready to install. We can refuse to showcase an artwork if not ready to hang.
Submit up to 3 works of art.

Entry fee is $35 for 1-3 works of art submitted (pay the entry fee on the website page-Call for Artwork

Submission of images
All digital submissions should be JPEG’s. Label each submission with artist First name and last name followed with entry number. (Ivonne Cruz_1.jpg). Attach a Word or PDF of image list with the following for each. Title, Medium, Size, Year, Price (or NFS)

Delivery and Return of work
If shipping work, make sure to include a return label. All shipping costs are paid by the artists. No excepts. Please let us know if you are shipping and include that with the submission of artwork.
Sale of Artwork
All sale prices are set by the artists. Please note Dragonfly Gallery will retain a commission of 25% of the sale price on all artwork sold during the exhibition.
Copyright
All artists retains full copyright of exhibited work. By submitting artwork, artists agree the right to use the images in publications and gallery publicity.
