Kingston Gallery is seeking work in all media and disciplines—abstract, representational and conceptual—in response to the essay, “The Blue of Distance”, by Rebecca Solnit. We are looking for work that explores concepts such as the sensation of longing, desire, appearance, distance, intangibility, light, arriving, departing, solitude. We are also thinking about work that focuses on the unknowable, things there seen from here, or that which cannot be possessed. Deadline for submissions is September 15, 2025.
