In recognition of the centennial anniversary of the 19th Amendment and the upcoming 2020 election, the University Galleries at Sacramento State invites artists to submit poster designs exploring the theme of voting. The history of voting rights in the United States is full of contradictions and marks some of our nation’s highest aspirations and greatest injustices. It is a story of the right to vote and the fight to vote. Our vote is our power and in this ever-evolving story of democracy, we are still writing, defining, and imagining new possibilities for greater freedom and justice. Add to the story!

Take It to the Polls! is an on-line juried exhibition of artist-designed posters. Artists are invited to submit up to two artworks.
