A Beautiful Sunrise or Sunset

Several photos will be selected to be displayed in our newsletter and on our website.

The photo project is free to participate in and is open both members and nonmembers in New York City and the surrounding areas.

To participate in the project please read the following instructions carefully:

Images should be in JPEG format.

Images size should be 1024 pixels wide X 768 pixels high. High resolution 200 to 300 dpi.

Each participant may submit up to 3 images.

Please put “A Beautiful Sunrise or Sunset” in the subject line or your email.

Please provide the following information:

Your name
Title of the photo
Information about the photo and what motivated you to take it.

Submissions for the project will be opened until 11:59PM Tuesday, September 18th.

The photos that are selected will be announced at our season opener on the Tuesday, September 25th.

Please plan to join us that evening.

We meet at Saint Peter’s Church Rectory, 346 West 20th Street (Between 8th and 9th Aves), New York City.

Time: 7:00PM

Pictorial Photographers of America (PPA) is open to photographers – professional, amateur and beginner – of all levels. Founded by Clarence H. White in 1916, it is one of NYC’s oldest photography clubs.

One meeting per month is usually a presentation by a photo professional, and one is a members’ competition (digital and print categories) critiqued and judged by a professional.
