The Woskob Family Gallery is delighted to announce an open call for the upcoming show Pattern Recognition. The gallery invites artists to consider the manifold expressions of pattern and how they are manifested in visual art.

With connotations of design and modeling, as well as references to the natural world, patterns form the underlying structures through which surfaces are organized and made intelligible. Artworks engaging with elements of repetition—broadly understood and deriving from an interest in nature, abstraction, representation, geometry, or otherwise—are welcomed.

• Any practicing artist creating two-dimensional work in the United States, with the exception of those currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree-granting program.

• There is a $20 submission fee. All fees go directly into offsetting administrative costs and generating further programming for this new, not-for-profit space.

• Artists are responsible for shipping costs to and from the gallery.

Artwork submitted must be ready to hang, with clear instructions and hanging hardware, if necessary. Unframed drawings are acceptable if they can be hung with artist’s tape or other archival means.

Artists may submit up to 3 images for consideration alongside their CV and artist’s statement.
