Synopsis: Art Room announces a call for entry for its second annual juried exhibition, Now | Contemporary 2020. This exhibition invites accomplished curator, Danielle Avram to act as juror, who will select a compelling group of artworks to be exhibited at Art Room’s gallery space. All media—including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography—will be considered.
2020 Juror Information: Danielle Avram is a curator and writer based in Dallas, TX. She has held positions at Texas Woman’s University; Southern Methodist University; The Power Station and The Pinnell Collection, and The High Museum of Art. She has an MFA from the School of The Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University, and a BA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Eligibility: Open to multigenerational makers. All media—including oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, drawings, sculpture in any medium, collage, printmaking, photography—will be considered. Work must be no more than 60 inches in any direction, including the framing or mounting. The size given for works should be the framed size. Height must be given before width regardless of whether the work is a vertical or horizontal piece. The artwork may represent any subject matter. Accepted work must be suitably framed and ready for hanging. Works on paper must be framed under plexiglass or glass—plexiglass is preferred. Please respect these eligibility requirements.
Fees: $30 for one to five images of artwork
