This January, we’re asking the age-old question: What makes a house a home? Subjects can include: household objects, interior views, domestic roles, and more.

Open to all media (painting, photography, sculpture, etc) 32×40″ max outside frame dimensions.

Artwork entry dates, by appointment: Dec 31 and Jan 2 (Sun 12-4pm, Tues 10-2pm)
*please note: the OC Center for the Arts will be closed on January 1.

Exhibit dates: January 5-27, 2024
Opening reception: January 5, 5-7pm
Pickup dates: January 28-29 (by appointment)
Awards: Prizes awarded for first place: $175, second place: $125, third place: $100, and 3 honorable mentions. All award winners will be invited to participate in our year-end “Best of 2024” exhibit during the month of December 2024.

We encourage you to fill out your entry form ahead of time but will have blank copies available as needed. Please click here for the entry form.

Eligibility: Artist must be 18 years or older. Artists may enter up to two pieces of original artwork, relevant to the theme, securely framed and properly wired for hanging. Work must be created in the past three years and never before shown at an Art League judged show. The maximum outside frame dimensions may not exceed 32×40″. Sales: The Art League of Ocean City receives a commission of thirty percent (30%) of the sale price of artwork and all sales of artwork exhibited must be processed through the Art League.

Additional Information: The Art League of Ocean City has the right to refuse any artwork that does not meet its exhibit criteria or given theme. Artwork will be displayed on a space available basis.
