Location
Harford County offers artists picturesque landscapes adorned with sprawling horse farms, rambling hills, and expansive woodscapes; bustling town centers; and historic harbor towns. Located 30 minutes north of Baltimore in central Maryland on the Mason-Dixon line, where the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay, Harford County is a not-to-be-missed destination.

Dates
• October 7, 2015 to October 11, 2015: Painting period is anywhere in Harford County, Maryland.
• October 11, 2015  from 8 a.m. to  9 a.m.: Turn-in of paintings, ready to hang, at Rockfield Manor, 501 E Churchville Rd, Bel Air, MD 21014.
• October 11, 2015 from 2 to 5 p.m.: Gallery-style sale and light fare reception. A VIP Reception precedes the event from 1-2 p.m.
• Unsold paintings will remain on display through Thursday, October 15th. Remaining paintings must either be picked up by 3 p.m. from Rockfield Manor or will be shipped back at the artists’ expense.

There is a $25 non-refundable registration fee for this event. Harford Artists Members fee is discounted to $10.

• No sales or commercial promotions permitted. Wear your event name tag when painting. Appropriate permission must be obtained from private property owners, businesses, etc.
• Work must be completed in the ‘plein air’ style (not from photographs). Acceptable media include oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, gouache, ink, encaustics, or tempera. Image size may not exceed 30”x30” (900 square inches)

Paint Out Activities
Group paint outs are arranged for the artists. You’re welcome to paint with the group, or paint on your own. We will send locations and maps closer to the event date.
•    Nocturne paint night in the Town of Bel Air
•    Havre De Grace’s Concord Point Light House
•    Farmland with Historic Buildings in rural Harford

Artwork Show and Sale
• On turn-in day you may submit up to 3-5 paintings. Additional works may be accepted at the gallery’s discretion.
• All works must be for sale and framed with wire hangers (no sawtooth hangers, please).
• Artwork must have artist’s contact information attached to the back.
• No “off-easel” sales, home, or non-gallery sales are permitted. Please refer patrons to the gallery and we will be happy to facilitate the sale for you.
• Commission is 50% artist, 50% Center for the Arts.
• Payment will be distributed to the artists within 45 days of the close of the show.

Liability
• Artists are responsible for the insurance of their work.
• Artists are responsible for their own transportation and meals.
• Although Center for the Arts and its members will use their best efforts to prevent such occurrences,
neither Center for the Arts its members, nor any other organization connected with the show is responsible for loss or damage from any cause, including hanging.
• Center for the Arts is not responsible for breakage or replacement if Artwork is framed under glass. We suggest you use Plexiglas.
• Art not sold must be picked up by 3 pm October 15th. Art not picked up will be shipped to the artist at their expense.
