The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum located at 295 West Ave., Norwalk, CT is calling for artists for a juried exhibition titled, Fragments of Light, Impressions of Color.
The submission deadline is Fri., Feb. 11, 12 p.m. The exhibition will open on Apr. 7 and run through Aug. 28, 2022. Artist and Trustee Gail Ingis will select approximately 30 works from digital submissions. Works should be no more than five feet (sixty inches) on all sides.
This exhibition will feature artists working in the style of contemporary impressionism, focusing on the effects of light and color, whether through portraiture, painting nature “en plein air” or depicting the urban landscape.
The Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum will welcome entries in the following categories: fine arts media, watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, small sculpture, and mixed media, A fee of $35 for 4 images inclusive of a one-year membership will be required to enter.
This juried exhibition will be held in the Billiards Room of the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion Museum. Artists can enter their work, review eligibility and other instructions by visiting the Museum’s website: www.lockwoodmathewsmansion.com, as the jurying process will be conducted online.
