All fine art photographers are invited to apply to bj spoke gallery’s photography competition and exhibit, Focus 2018. The definition of photography in this show is broad. Your work can be anything from cell phone snapshots to silver gelatin prints, from digitally manipulated photos to polaroids, to sunprints.

The photographers will be chosen by juror Kelly Sidley. Ms. Sidley is a Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Photography of the Museum of Modern Art, NY. She received her PhD in Art History from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, in 2006. She has taught in the undergraduate art history departments at New York University and Pace University, both in New York City. From 2007 to 2015 she presented lectures, led gallery talks, and taught courses for MoMA’s Education Department. She has assisted with numerous MoMA exhibitions, including Out of Time: Contemporary Art from the Collection (2006-2007); Comic Abstraction: Image-Breaking, Image-Making (2007); Aernout Mik (2009), and Louise Lawler: WHY PICTURES NOW (opening April 2017).
