The City of Arlington (“City”) and Entertainment District Sculpture Trail (“EDST”) Committee are seeking a response to this call for public art submissions from artists interested in providing sculpture.

The Entertainment District Sculpture Trail Steering Committee is accepting artwork on loan to be placed in Richard Greene Linear Park for a period of three (3) years. The committee will accept entries of small and large scale, free standing and interactive sculptures and welcomes all artists- professional, amateur and student. Each artist may submit up to three (3) pieces for consideration. All works must be of original design and execution and must be installed prior to August 31, 2015.

Each piece of artwork must portray the theme “Celebrate Innovation & Creativity”. Arlington and the Entertainment District were built off of innovation and creativity. The artist must articulate this theme through the inspiration of the proposed sculpture.

Up to (8) sculptures will be selected to be placed for a (3) year installation. A $2,500 honorarium for each sculpture will be provided to each artist after installation. In addition, a $200 transportation and installation stipend will be provided to the selected artists.

See “Call for Submissions” pdf for details.
