HONK!: Deconstruction of Joy will be a photography exhibit coinciding with HONK! Fest 2016. The goal of the exhibition is to showcase images encapsulating the energy and joy that takes place during the HONK! Fest. We are interesting in showing different manifestations of this joy and we invite all photographers to share their work celebrating HONK!

Every October, the HONK! Fest takes over Davis Square in Somerville, bringing live music and joy to brass bands enthusiasts. Bands from across the United States — and from other countries get together for a series of outdoor performances. For many it’s a magical weekend. Since its founding 10 years ago, HONK! Fest has grown to include festivals in Austin, Brooklyn, Detroit, Seattle, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Wollongong, Australia.
