The Foundry Art Centre is seeking submissions for “Comfort & Joy”, an exhibition showcasing artworks reflecting happiness, serenity, and peace. All media will be considered. As it will coincide with the holiday season and New Year, this exhibition will be a relief from the hectic nature of the year’s end, and a warm welcome to the new decade.

Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces of artwork. Entries must be submitted by October 28, 2019. “Comfort & Joy” will open with a reception on Friday, December 20, 2019, from 5:30-8 pm in the Main Gallery and Grand Hall. The exhibition will be on display from December 20, 2019 to January 24, 2020. Three prizes will be awarded at the Opening Reception: two Juror’s Choice Awards of $200, and a Going Solo Award that offers the recipient a solo exhibition in one of our galleries.

Bryan Haynes will serve as juror for this exhibition. Haynes is a New Regionalist painter whose tranquil paintings evoke nostalgia, as they illuminate a moment in times past. His artwork is represented in galleries across the country, and he has been commissioned by companies such as Disney, Warner Bros., and Toblerone – Switzerland.
