There will be an artists opening reception on Sat., Jan. 20 from 6pm – 8pm at the gallery – wine and snacks will be served, along with a chance to mix and mingle with TAG artists and the local community. The show will feature a diverse mix of work from nearly all of TAG’s 35 members – including paintings, prints, mixed media, sculpture, photography and more.

To further expand their artists’ work and gain more visibility – while supporting a local business – select artist’s work will be on view at the popular Tivoli café, Murray’s, where art by local creators is always on view. The TAG/Murray’s show will open towards the end of January and will feature such artists as Marie Cole, Roxanne Johnson, Barbara Walter, Sylvana Tagliaferri, Frana Baruch and the show’s curator Alan Reich.

According to Reich, “Supporting and encouraging new works is vital to the future of the art world, no matter how big or small the venue or group. We use the ‘New Year/New Work’ show to put a spotlight on recent creations our members have developed. You’ll get a taste of a wide array of talent and an eclectic mix of styles and media – which is something I’m passionate about.” The winter months can often be light on things to do. “I hope art enthusiasts will put this on their to-do list this Jan. – our gallery is very warm and inviting!” he adds.

Tivoli Artists Gallery: Nestled in the tiny eclectic town of Tivoli, New York, TAG is a community-based organization dedicated to the artistic growth of Hudson Valley artists.
