Since its inception in 1997, the event has grown to become enormously important, attracting more than 200 outstanding exhibitors who display historical and contemporary photography. Institutions, reviewers, art book publishers, and the general public attend to appreciate and purchase the works on display.

The fair is divided into five sections: a primary collection showing a diverse spectrum of photographic art, a book part for photobooks and publishers, a ‘prismes’ section with big scale photographs, a ‘Curiosa’ section with sensual images on display, and a film section.
