Scott Bolendz is a concept-based visual artist focusing primarily on the genre of landscape photography. His haunting, atmospheric images are deeply imbued with an autobiographical dimension that reflects an ongoing personal journey of healing and creative expression in response to past traumatic events in his life. Through his photographic explorations of the natural world, he seeks a deeper understanding between his own particular experiences and larger, more universal themes of loss, adversity, and resilience. In effect, human vulnerability is the underlying subject matter of his lyrically expressive landscapes. Scott has received numerous international awards and recognition for his photographic work.
