Mike Foster - Jeweler
Presented by Wesleyan Potters
Mike has been working with metal since taking his first jewelry class at Wesleyan Potters ten years ago. A clinical social worker for over thirty years, Mike had no formal arts or crafts training prior to this experience. He has always enjoyed creating and using his hands, and his biggest project was designing and building his house with his wife in 1985. He has continued to take two or three classes each year at the Pottery as well as attending several short shops. In addition to jewelry, he has applied the skills he has learned to a variety of pieces including water fountains, weathervanes and metal sculptures.
