Marika joined the AmusinGlass team in 2016, after returning from Maui where she managed a gallery specializing in blown glass art. As a native to Sedona, she was raised by two artists, and her natural talent and grounding in color and value comes through in the warm glass pieces she now creates. Compared to her background in drawing and painting, Marika enjoys the challenge of working in a new medium where the focus is on creating solid objects that can be touched and held. She’s currently learning and experimenting with the technical aspects of glass making – and getting used to surrendering to the sometimes unexpected outcomes of the firing process!
