Lynne focuses on the truth and beauty she observes in nature. She strives to capture the light effect and the big visual impression of her subject, using a full range of color and value contrasts. Lynne’s paintings offer dynamic compositions, accurate drawing, and a variety of lost and found edges. She trained with Paul Ingbretson and Robert Cormier in the tradition of the Boston School of Painting. This direct painting approach combines the fresh colors of the French impressionists with the accuracy of the 18th and 19th century French academic training, taught by artists such as David, Ingres, and Gerome.
