Laurie Frenzel - Weaver
Presented by Wesleyan Potters
I have been comfortable with fiber since I was young, but had no idea how weaving would dominate my life. I have been weaving for thirty-five years and have experimented with many patterns and yarns. But in the past five years I’ve woven mostly with wool and silk or just silk. My challenge now is not so much developing new ideas but exploring the ways of using color to good effect. I have three looms at home and use one at the Wesleyan Potters, so I have four projects going at one time. This gives me lots of opportunity to experiment with color and weave structure.
