The works I create hover between abstraction and reality. Gestural, a colorful exploration of memory and place. It's a dance between me and the canvas. Responding to what the painting is telling me to do. Figures inspire me. The human body is a landscape. A landscape full of questions. I bring them to the surface. Playfulness of color, form, line changes and curiosity. The harmony of elements with imagination is an organic process. My influences come from Marc Chagall, Hans Hoffman, Arthur Dove, Helen Frankenthaler. Enjoy the visual questions I ask a viewer with my improvisational process.
