Joyce Weidenaar lives and works in New York City. After retiring from her real estate finance career in 2015, she began her art career. Joyce’s works include both paintings and prints. Subjects of her paintings are typically realistic and depict unremarkable objects which, when given center stage, assume greater status. Her prints are largely abstract. The works are characterized by bright colors and a certain degree of whimsy. Joyce currently studies at the Art Students League of New York. Her works appear in private collections and have been exhibited in juried shows nationally. In addition to her artwork, she is an avid ballroom dancer and skier.
