Evie Grasse
Presented by Plymouth Arts Center/Gallery 110 North
Evie learned from a young age that she had the ability to create art in all media. She is primarily self-taught, however, twenty-five years ago she chose to Plein Air paint in watercolor with mentor James Michael, and she has never looked back. Since then she has taken many workshops, with favorites, Bridget Austin, Joye Moon and Ratindra Das as well. Traditional transparent watercolor works have become her passion due to the serenity it brings to her life and the pleasure it brings to others. She is attracted to the Great Lakes and parks as well as the Southwest deserts and mountains of Arizona, because they provide God’s beautiful creations in the form of ski, water and flora, which are usually on parts of her canvas. Evie is a member of the Wisconsin Watercolor Society, Sheboygan Visual Artists- “SVA”, Plymouth Arts Center, Sun City Grand Art Club, Cedarburg Cultural Center and the Rahr West Art Museum. Her work has been juried into many of these throughout her journey. Her work is increasing in popularity as she has won the Juror’s choice Award at SVA, The Viewer’s Choice Award and a Merit Award at the Plymouth Arts Center and a Merit Award at the Cedarburg Plein Air paint competition. Evie continues to take yearly watercolor workshops at the Clearing in Door County Wisconsin, and Sun City Grand in Arizona. She shares her love of art with collectors that represent her in both corporate and private collections throughout the United States. Visit Evie’s website: ww.sheboyganvisualartists.com
