Deborah Strano - Jeweler
Presented by Wesleyan Potters
Metalsmith and shibori artist I have been working as a metalsmith for 15 years creating jewelry and small sculpture using sterling silver, gold, copper, brass and enamel. My pieces involve many different techniques such as fold forming, married metals, fusing, and stone setting. I have also been working with a variety of silk dying methods including pole wrapping for shibori, wax resist for batik, and fabric etching on velvet. My work is shown in galleries in Connecticut and Massachusetts, and I also enjoy teaching workshops to students of all ages.
