Alex Venezia b.1993 Virginia Beach, Virginia; currently lives and works in Old Lyme, Connecticut. Alex Venezia is an American representational oil painter whose work has earned him nationwide representation, as well as numerous accolades and awards. Deviating from the traditional academy approach, Alex actively sought out mentorship under renowned painters representing diverse schools of thought worldwide, shaping his highly personal style and approach. Venezia’s work is currently represented by Arcadia Contemporary in New York City and has been acquired by esteemed institutions such as the New Salem Museum. He has also received prestigious awards, including two first-place painting prizes by The Portrait Society of America and the first-place prize in the Still Life Competition at the Grand Central Atelier in New York City. With a relentless pursuit of artistic excellence, Alex Venezia continues to push personal boundaries and expand his artistic potential.
