Saint Kate holds a permanent art collection throughout the hotel featuring over 120 works of art in an ever-expanding collection of local, regional, national and international artists. Guests are invited to wander throughout the hotel’s public spaces to uncover works by notable artists such as Damien Hirst, Deborah Butterfield, and Mickalene Thomas as well as celebrated local artists such as Michelle Grabner and John Riepenhoff.
Throughout the first and second floors of Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, guests can also find six rotating exhibitions that showcase emerging artists as well as artists at the forefront of their fields. These artists and their exhibitions are showcased at Saint Kate as they push boundaries and find innovative ways to tell their stories, sometimes through multiple art forms or by collaborating with an artist of another medium.
Additionally, Saint Kate is home to the Museum of Wisconsin Art’s first downtown location, MOWA | DTN. As its first downtown location, the 1,700 square foot premier gallery space allows travelers to gain access to emerging and established contemporary Wisconsin artists.
To add to the hotel’s intimate and immersive arts experience, visitors are able to participate in unique programming and partnerships with local arts organizations, like artist and curator talks, champagne art tours and more.
