Richness of both materials and images characterize What Dreams May Come, a collaborative art exhibit at The Main Gallery featuring the mixed media artwork and jewelry of Pia Brandt, Susan Fast and Katinka Hartmetz. The elements of wood, glass and jewels come together to please the senses and the imagination. What Dreams May Come opens Thursday, May 5th and runs through Sunday, May 29, 2016. The Main Gallery, located at 1018 Main Street in Redwood City, will be hosting an reception open to the public with the artists on Saturday, May 7th from 6pm-9pm where in honor of Mother’s Day, gift wrapping will be provided.

Mixed media artist and jeweler Pia Brandt’s reflects on the interior dream world as portrayed in a grouping of pensive women. The seven archetypes including anima, divine child, great mother, shadow, trickster, wise man, and persona are the inspiration for works in fused glass and jewelry by Susan Fast. Mixed media artist Katinka Hartmetz’s depicts a world only accessible through the imagination in her framed mirror pieces, miniature collage paintings and mural work.

Be sure to come and experience What Dreams May Come at The Main Gallery, an artists’ cooperative with some 16 members, showcasing the work of some of the best local talent in the Bay Area.  The Main Gallery is located at 1018 Main Street at the corner of Main and Middlefield in the historic yellow Victorian Cottage in Redwood City.  The Main Gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
