Watercolors 2020
J Mane Gallery
Jun. 26, 2024 - Jul. 26, 2020
J. Mane Gallery is pleased to present its Watercolors International Online Juried Art Exhibition.
“Watercolor is a medium that can be as demanding and temperamental as those who choose to paint with it. But it is a colorful and exciting medium all the same – well suited to describing the many moods of the subject, as well as those of the artist wielding the brush”. ~Jean Burman
For this competition, artists were encouraged to share their artistic vision using watercolors. The theme could have been any subject and the artwork varied from realism to surrealism to abstraction. All artists over the age of 18, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their best inspired work.
Each of our monthly themed exhibitions, awards for First, Second and Third Place. The First Place winner for the Watercolors show is Ron Pattern for Saturday Morning. Ron captured his subject beautifully and his technique is outstanding. Ron is also the Featured Artist for the duration of the show.
Taking Second Place is Gregory Larson for Cathedral Rock. And, Third Place goes to Amanda Brown for Don’t Mention It.
Eight Honorable Mention awards were given as well. Honorable Mention awards go to Yuelin Chen for Wood Door, Dru Duffey for Creation II, Christopher Eadicicco for Sea Meets Sky, Gina Judy for Romantic Roses, Greg Knight for A Scottish Lake, Alayne Sahar for Nature’s Beauty, Jennifer Trivett for Summer’s Last Sunset and Julia Winter for Insomnia.
Please visit the Award Winners Page to learn more about each of these award winning artists and to contact them directly about their work.
The remaining artists included in the exhibition serve as an example of impressive talent and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the J. Mane Gallery website.
We thank all the competition participants.
