Mar. 29, 2024 - Mar. 29, 2034
After a decade of dedicated work, artist Fernando Carpaneda unveiled his remarkable art installation, “The Stations of the Cross.” This deeply evocative piece features 67 meticulously carved sculptures housed within 14 wooden boxes, each box intricately painted to depict scenes from the city of Jerusalem. Crafted from Magic-Sculpt and adorned with acrylic paint, the miniature sculptures are uniquely dressed in clothing fashioned from the artist’s own garments, including strands of his hair and that of a choir lady from St. Kilian Church, Farmingdale.
Located at The George Mercer, Jr. Memorial School of Theology in the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, this permanent exhibition offers a profound and immersive experience.
