“The South Dakota State University Art Museum presents its permanent collection. Opened in 1970, the art museum has focused on arts of South Dakota in all its diversity.
Presented by the museum is a diverse group of exhibitions and engaging programs. Rotating exhibits from the main collection feature Harvey Dunn, Native American art, Marghab Linens and Paul Goble; as well as exhibits from regional and national artists. The museum routinely provises works borrowed from institutions and outside collectors to expand its venue.
The Museum offers over 7000 works that include paintings, drawings, photographs, sculpture, textiles, and ceramics.
Collections include the WWII illustration work of Harvey Dunn, Native American art of the 20th Century Plains Indians,the largest collection of Marghab Linens and Paul Goble illustrations.”
