The Art League of Long Island is pleased to present works by its student sculptors in “Sculpture in Stone & Wood” in the upper level of the Jeanie Tengelsen Gallery July 19 through August 3. Working in marble, limestone, alabaster and wood, twelve sculptors studying with Thom Janusz will exhibit work done in his Stone and Wood Carving programs. An artists’ reception takes place July 20 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.

Thom Janusz, who holds degrees from Louisiana State University and the University of Miami, has exhibited both in Europe and the U.S. His work is in public collections worldwide, including Portugal, Poland, Japan and the Azores, and the United States Embassy in Lisbon.

Participating in the exhibit are Rose Burke, Temi Cain, Alex Fuchs, Riva Gelman, Angela Goldman, John Lemmerman, Michael Mc Dyer, Paul Moreno, Bruce Rosenzweig, Bette Rubin, Dorothy Schwartz, and Jan Shulman.
