The Eastham Painters Guild kicks off their month-long special art exhibition “Living in a Postcard” at the Eastham Public Library with a reception on May 2, from 5-6:30pm in celebration of ArtWeek in Massachusetts. The exhibit will feature a special selection of small 5″x7″ paintings featuring Cape Cod scenes. During the reception, there will be an interactive session for those interested in learning about plein air painting. Participants will have a chance to move between easels set up in the plein air style which artists will demonstrate while discussing recommended materials, best practices, and more. This is a rare opportunity to learn from professionals sharing their knowledge and an exciting inside look at the crafting of Cape Cod landscapes.
