Fusion Art is pleased to announce the opening of the Light & Shadow 2022 International Art Exhibition. The exhibition is now available for viewing on the Fusion Art website and features awards in two categories: Traditional Art and Digital Art & Photography.

For this exhibition, both 2D and 3D artists, worldwide, were invited to submit their best art and photography depicting light and shadow. Whether color or black and white, the artwork should focus on the dramatic placement and effects of light and shadow over the canvas or through the lens. All artists, regardless of location or experience, were encouraged to submit their work in any media.

The Light & Shadow 2022 Best in Show winners are Yuqian Sun for her watercolor and ink on paper, “Artificial Fairies No. 9 – Listener” and Francesco Puliga for his digital mixed media (ink on paper, acrylic paint, digital painting), “Stop”. Yuqian and Francesco are Fusion Art’s Featured Artists for the month of December 2022 and, as the Best in Show winners, both artists are invited to participate in Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Santa Fe, NM in 2024.

Other award winners include Second Place winners, Carol Klingel and Elizabeth Kayl. Third Place awards were given to Kathy Paulus and Eric Renard. Fourth Place awards were given to Lyasya Sinkovski and Maureen Ravnik. Fifth Place awards were given to Diane Masek-Blow and Robert Nowak.

In addition, six artistic excellence awards and nine honorable mention awards were given due to the exceptional quality of the art received for this exhibition. The remaining finalists in the exhibition all exemplified uniquely creative talents and we are honored to showcase their artwork on the Fusion Art website.

The international competition received a diverse collection of quality artwork from artists all around the world, including the US, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, China, Poland, the Philippines, Brazil, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Montenegro and South Africa. Overall, the gallery judged 256 entries and accepted 97 artworks into the exhibition, which will be featured on the website for three months.

Founded by Award winning artist, Chris and Valerie Hoffman, Fusion Art was envisioned and formed out of a passion for art and the artists who create it. The website promotes and connects new, emerging and established artists with collectors and art enthusiasts, while offering the opportunity to participate in art competitions, exhibitions and experiences.

Each month and quarter Fusion Art hosts uniquely themed solo and group art competitions and exhibitions. Both winners and finalists are provided with worldwide exposure through the gallery’s extensive marketing and social media outlets. The gallery’s objective is to promote the artists, worldwide, to art professionals, gallerists, collectors and buyers.
